"Sixty and Fabulous" Birthday Celebration, May, 2009 Photos from the "Sixty and Fabulous" Birthday Celebration [updated June 16,
2009] The Class of '67 'Sixty and Fabulous Birthday Bash' was held at Pete and Sam's Restaurant on May 22nd, 2009. There was a healthy crowd of around 40-45 people, which made the room feel a bit "cozy", but nice. Our evening began with Happy Hour, at six o'clock, and we got re-acquainted as we relaxed and mingled.. Dinner was served at seven, and the food was excellent, as usual (Pete and Sam's is one of my favorites, so I might be a bit prejudiced)! Very special guests included several classmates from out of town (Marilynn Harrison, Luke Prescott, Sam Fullerton, Jud Chapin), who made an extra effort to come back to help us celebrate. We were also delighted to see a number of classmates who, don't attend as regularly or who had not attended one of our class dinners before. Among these were: Vicki (Goodwyn) Gregory, Steve Castlemun, Judy (Briggs) Watters, Mary Jo (Jobst) Wilson, Susan (Coehn) Goldsmith, Bitsy Kasselberg, Dick Wallace, Bob Treadwell, Bill and Rikki Boyce, Linda (Corbett) Bowling and her husband Marvin, Steve and Beth (Gabehart) Pulliam, and Bob and Vicki Ranson. And, as always, we were happy to see our terrific "regulars". David Jolly, and his lovely, Farah, were there, as well as Lynnette (Goldstein) Less, with hubby Milton, Steve Solomon, Richard Rosebrough, Chet Deaton, James and Agnes (Dixon) Gordon, Louie Grashot, Patty (Smith) and Rusty Kroell, to name a few). These guys are the backbone of our class, and our dinners would not be as consistently great without them! Adrianne (de Moya) Nance was presented a gorgeous necklace, on behalf of the class. There was also a "wine auction" to raise funds for the next class reunion, and we played several "1967 associated" trivia games, which, I think, everyone enjoyed. After dinner, we all partook of a gorgeous birthday cake, courtesy of David Jolly. The "rule" was, you had to wear your party hat to get any cake. And, as you can see, they were all good sports about it! :-). So, that's it in a nutshell. We had a great time, and there have been lots of complimentary e-mails. My heartfelt thanks to all who helped make this such a special night! And, a note to our classmates who were unable to make it: We love and missed you. Happy Birthday to you!
