So glad I stumbled on this site. Kenneth Collins [last updated August, 2005] After graduation from East High I moved to Pensacola, FL. Shortly there after I joined the U.S. Navy where I received two letters of commendation, one from the Commander of Naval Recruit Training Command for graduating #1 out of my "Boot Camp Company", and one from the Commander of Electricians Mate Class "A" School for graduating #1 out of my "A" school class where I was given first pick of my next duty station. I chose to be stationed aboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) and after two years subsequently received a honorable discharge. I now reside in Atoka, TN where I have bought an acre of land and devoted 1/2 of my property to the cultivation of fruit trees so i can donate the produce to the less fortunate. I was friends with Tonya Collins and Inez Long. I have two grown children (24 and 21), am married to a really great man and am currently an optician. Are we going to have a 25th reunion. I work for the government. I am an elder at my church, Reach Heaven Global Ministries Inc. Spencer Lucas [last updated March, 2015] We're approaching our 30-year graduation anniversary and I am just now registering on the site. We didn't have a big class, but I've only ever run into Arvis (not on here) and Felicia--we're getting old people. I was in computer science and none of those guys seem to be here. I got the education I needed and had not received until I got to East. Ms. Eberle gave me what I needed to know in programming to keep me from studying it in college, teach myself, and go on to write software in Germany for a steel company and eventually writing software for Hilton Hotels for over 10 years. After the corporate world devoured my soul, eliminated my last department, I went into consulting. Fast forward to 2013 and I'm one of three owners of a video production company in Memphis. We've done work from everyone from Congressmen all the way back to corporations that I once worked for. I've three children: 24 (boy), 18(boy) and 16(girl). I'm in round two of marriage and I got it right this time--she came into me and my three kids and has been with me for 12 years. Let's try to get something going for our 30th and not read about it years later like I did about our 25th. And if the 14 of us did something that I missed, I'm sorry, but I'm here now. Mike Mitchell [last updated March, 2006] I'm now living in Arlington, Va, just outside of Washington D.C. I moved up here in 1997 and have come to enjoy living here, however, I do miss the south and the signature Memphis BBQ. I hope to purchase some land in Fayette county over the next couple of years and eventually move back to the area to be closer to my family. I got married last year on July 14th and we reside in Southeast Memphis. I am presently on staff at Hope Presbyterian Church as the Director of Urban Missions. Yes this is Elvin Turner I'm currently still in the United States Army I have about two more years left in a sucessful career where I have traveled all over the world and seen things and places that I have never dreamed of seeing. I am currently stationed in Maryland right now as an IET instructor can't really complain about my job now I'm enjoying it. I've also had three tours to Iraq and I made it back safely thank God for that, well thats all my people God Bless and takecare. After what seemed an eternity, I graduated and began my career in health care as a registered nurse. I received an MBA degree some years later. I still reside in the Memphis area and have to say that I too, love Memphis! This January I was blessed with my first child, Trevor Alexander.
